Meet Dates & Time

     We have scheduled meets on Sundays of each month throughout the year.  Dates will be posted on this site as welol as email notifications to those who hae registered.  Exceptions are certain holidays or conflicts with other events.  Meets are sometimes cancelled due to weather.  Meets usually start at 11:00 AM and continue for 1 - 2 hours.  We usually send out an advanced notice via email - this is a reminder about the upcoming meet/event or cancellation of the meet.

What to Bring

     Chairs, Table (possibly shade), camera, friends, beverages, snacks, etc.  If you have some buildings, trees, accessories, etc. to help with a diorama, please bring those as well.

     The site for the club's meets is in Largo Central Park - Nature Preserve.  Entrance is on the corner of Highland and East Bay Drive (traffic signal) in Largo (Pinellas County).  Head south from that intersection and you will enter the small park.  Continue to the parking lot and look for us.  

      Parking and restrooms are very close to where we operate the vehicles.  So close that you can back your vehicle up to the operating area and virtually "tailgate". 

     Surface of the meet site.  The parking lot is paved and there is a wide sidewalk between the parking lot and the operating area for the tanks.  The tanks can operate on either grass or crushed limestone (or both) areas.  There are two trees which shade the imediate area.  Part of the tank area is shaded and both sides of theat area hahve grass which provides shade for table setups.
